Kids’ Japanese Holiday Camp in Edinburgh South (EH10)

Small, joyful mornings of Japanese language and culture for ages 7–12. Tiny groups (max 4) with a PVG‑checked native tutor.

  1. £35 per half‑day (2.5 hours) — single or multiple bookings welcome
  2. Included: learning materials, craft supplies and a Japanese snack (allergy‑aware; no nuts)

  2. Tutor: Hitomi Kobayashi‑Prior — native standard Tokyo Japanese, PVG‑checked, 25+ years’ experience, author of 17 textbooks

FAQs

What should my child bring?

  1. A filled water bottle. We provide stationery, craft materials, and a Japanese snack (nut-free). If your child has specific dietary needs, please tell us in advance.

Do they need any Japanese already?

  1. No. It’s beginner-friendly. We begin with romaji to explain sounds, then introduce simple hiragana/katakana and phrases through games and crafts.

My child is under 7 or over 12—can they join?

  1. The camp is designed for ages 7–12. If your child is very close to the range, please get in touch with us and we’ll advise you.

Where is it held?

  1. Edinburgh South (EH10). The exact address is shared after booking. Free on-street parking is nearby.

Drop-off & pick-up times?

  1. Doors from 09:20. Session 09:30–12:00. Sign-in/out each day; ID may be requested on the first collection.

Allergies or medical needs?

  1. We are allergy-aware and operate nut-free. Please share details on the form and bring any necessary medication (e.g., inhaler, EpiPen) along with clear instructions.

Safeguarding / PVG?

  1. All sessions are led by a PVG-checked native tutor. See: Safeguarding Policy.
